Promote Your Opportunities

AUT welcomes employer and industry participation. As a university, we are committed to providing industry and employment related opportunities that will help develop graduates with a reputation of hitting the ground running and meeting our vision of great graduates.

Co-operative education placements for Business Students

Co-operative Education is the capstone paper for our senior business students. Because students are earning academic credit for this paper there are specific requirements and restrictions on when and how they do their ‘co-op’. These include the dates, hours they work and the tasks/activities they are involved in.

Elab Online is our online portal where we advertise co-operative education placements for AUT Business students. To advertise for a co-operative business student please register on CareerHub as an employer to offer a placement. For more detailed information please contact Kate Coleman kate.coleman@aut.ac.nz

Job opportunities – Graduate roles, internships

Advertise graduate or internship positions to AUT students through the following services:

AUT talenthub – on campus recruitment service

AUT has an on-campus recruitment service, AUT talenthub, that is specifically for AUT students. Our consultants work closely with employers to understand job requirements, helping put together the job advertisements and matching you with a short list of candidates who have been selected to best fit the requirements of your role. If you would like to know more about this service, please contact auttalenthub@aut.ac.nz

NZUni Talent Hub – Universities job board

Promote your job opportunities on NZUni Talent Hub, the online student job board which gives you instant access to AUT students and graduates and six other NZ universities. Employers can post vacancies for graduate roles, internships, casual work for a small advertising fee. Volunteering roles are free. To advertise your opportunity, please go to www.nzunitalent.ac.nz

Other job advertisement opportunities

Job vacancies relating specifically to AUT programmes can also be promoted through AUT Employability and Career's social media channels, including Facebook and Instagram. Please contact autemploy@aut.ac.nz for more information.

Volunteering

Participation in volunteering is an important part of the AUT Edge Award and Beyond AUT Award, co-curricular awards run by Employability and open to all AUT students. Students doing the awards must complete 20-50 hours of volunteering for a not-for-profit or community organisation. We welcome volunteering opportunities for students. If you're interested in knowing more, please email Horowai Broderlow at autedge@aut.ac.nz to get more information about our criteria and students' skills.
